Paintball Juice

The Ion XE is the latest incarnation from Smart Parts of their industry changing ION paintball marker. Most issues surrounding the first ION were based around the relative dificulty in taking the ION apart in order to maintain the orings. This is were Smart Parts has come up to the plate and gotten a hit. instead of taking the entire grip frame off of the marker and disconnecting three banjo hose fittings and an eye wire harness, and removing the body shroud. Now, in order to get to the bolt orings. you use an allen wrench and it unscrew right out the back like on a shocker or Dye/Proto Matrix. This allows for super easy cleaning and maintenance that allows for the beginner paintball player to keep his marker working at all times. The internals of the ION XE are as same as the original coming with standard break-beam eye system. This is an anti-chopping system that normally was reserved for very expensive paintball markers that smart parts put on the entry level ION. This was a huge step in change in the idustry as the anti-chop eye alllows for much higher rates of fire and thus now many entry level markers today are similar in performance to high-end tournament guns of only a few years ago. One change in the IONXE from the old ION is the threading for the feed nck has been changed to Shocker threading. I wasn't too happy about this but smart Parts has come out with a thread adapter and body kit so you can update your old ION to the XE! :)
